Meli European Taverna

“Meli European Taverna is a modern Greek and Mediterranean restaurant in Easton known for its traditional Greek dishes and fresh seafood. I’ve had Meli on my list for a while, so I decided to finally check it out for my birthday this year. The first appetizer I tried was the Yiayia Dena’s Keftedes, which are tender, flavorful pan-fried Greek meatballs served on a bed of creamy feta mousse. The second appetizer I dug into was the crispy Kalamari served with garlicky skordalia. Rounding out the appetizers was the Kalamaki, which are char-grilled chicken skewers served with tzatziki sauce and crusty bread. This was my favorite of the three. For the entrées, just like the appetizers, my friends and I ordered a variety of dishes and split everything. First up was the lobster pasta, made with fresh Maine lobster, lobster broth, Calabrian chili, tomato, and pesto. Next was the Deconstructed Pastitsio, featuring tender braised short rib atop paccheri pasta and silky béchamel. We also tried the bone-in ribeye, which was cooked beautifully and finished with garlic confit and herb butter. Last but not least was the tomahawk pork chop, which was incredibly juicy and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything we tried was delicious. If I had one complaint, it would be that the food could have been served a little hotter. The service was just as impressive as the food. Alex was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu very well. Meli delivered exactly the experience I was hoping for on my birthday. This was a memorable meal from start to finish.”

“We celebrated my son’s 30th birthday at Meli European Taverna and WOW—what an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and perfect for such a special occasion. The food? Absolutely incredible—chef’s kiss (yes, literally throwing a kiss in the air 😘). We enjoyed the Slow Roasted Lamb Gyros, European Sea Bass (Branzino fillet), Peri Peri Chicken, and Sesame Tuna, along with a few drinks—and every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. To make the night even more special, our server surprised my son with a delicious chocolate mousse cake for his birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. And let me tell you… the Baklava Cheesecake? OMG. Beyond amazing! The entire staff was attentive, kind, and truly made us feel celebrated. It was such a beautiful family moment, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring in such a milestone birthday. I 100% recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to return. “We came here yesterday for Father’s Day and we absolutely loved it. It’s the sister restaurant to Yianna’s restaurant and that’s all you need to know. It was such a beautiful spot representing Greece/Mediterranean. You can tell so much thought and care was put into the entire experience of the restaurant. The chef killed it. Everything we tried was amazing. Our server and S.A we’re great. It truly was a lovely experience and we will be back again.”

“The ambiance here is fantastic—perfect for a date night or a nice dinner out. Our waitress was great and very attentive. But, I am giving 4 stars because I suffered severe lactose issues after eating. I had a dairy-heavy dish and drink, which normally doesn’t bother me but maybe between the drink and the food, it just didn’t agree with my stomach.”

“We ate there and had a wonderful experience. In 40 years my husband has never ever smiled over a steak, but he smiled tonight. This is the first restaurant ever in all these years to cook a Wagyu steak to his specifications. Thank you very much for a great meal.”
